This international integrated mixed-use township development began in 2007 with an initial capital investment of RM4.1 billion (US$1.4 billion). To date, RM1.83 billion has been spent to complete the infrastructural works including 60 kilometers of roads, 58 covered bus stops, over a thousand custom lamp posts, STP sewage treatment plant for 500 thousand PE and other utilities.

Road Network
Medini City has an integrated road network that extends to more than 60 kilometres of roads to meet the development needs and projected population at full capacity.
The roads in Medini City were designed and built to comply with both international standards as well as Malaysian guidelines.

Medini City has approximately 210 acres of green space made up of 44 parks and open spaces. Each one has a combination of some or all the following components:

- Walkways and paved areas
- Playgrounds
- Lighting systems
