Board of Directors

Dato’ Idzham was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) on 1 October 2022. He also serves as Chairman of Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd (MIMSB), Chairman of EduCity Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Chairman of Iskandar Capital Sdn Bhd (IskCap).​

Dato’ Idzham is an experienced entrepreneur and corporate leader who has developed and led corporations in various industries and brings a wealth of experience and achievements prior to joining IIB. Previously, he was the Group Chief Commercial Officer of Enra Group Berhad and Chief Executive Officer of Enra Land, overseeing key property development projects under the group with approximately RM800mil worth of GDV.​

Dato’ Idzham made his mark in the Property Development industry during his time at Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd, as their Executive Director / Chief Operating Officer, previously their Chief Strategy Officer. Under his stewardship, he went on to oversee and manage multiple key development projects amounting to RM31bil worth of GDV, which includes the launching of KL Metropolis and Malaysia’s largest trade and exhibition centre, MITEC.​

His other experiences include entrepreneurial ventures in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Education, Education Technology and IT, Automotive and Motorsports, and Fund Management.​

Dato’ Idzham also plays an active role in providing his service to the community to invigorate the local property market ecosystem. He is currently an executive committee member at REHDA Selangor. Previously, he helmed a key role as a member of the Panel of Experts set up by the Housing and Local Ministry (KPKT) to address housing issues in the country.​

Dato’ Idzham holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bristol Business School at the University of West of England (UWE), UK and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, Australia. In addition, he also completed the Oxford Advanced Management and Leadership Programme at Said Business School, University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.​

Haris Hardi Zakaria (Haris) was appointed to the MIM Board as Director on 17 July 2020 and Chairman of MIM EXCO in January 2023. He joined IIB in February 2020 as the Chief Asset Management Officer of IIB and its group of companies. Previously, Haris was a Senior Vice President, Investments in Khazanah Nasional Berhad and was also a Board Member of IIB and Sunway Iskandar Sdn Bhd. On 15 November 2022, he was redesignated to the position of Chief Investment Officer of IIB and its group of companies.

Haris has over 25 years of corporate finance and investment experience from his previous involvement in various industries such as oil & gas, plantation, property & real estate, automotive, investment banking, stock exchange, and auditing. His career growth started with KPMG and continued with Bursa Malaysia, Affin Investment Bank, Sime Darby Berhad, Sapura Energy Berhad, and Khazanah Nasional Berhad.

He is a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

Tengku Azharuddin is a Vice President in the Investments division in Khazanah Nasional Berhad. He started his career in Khazanah in 2013. He has 8 years of experience in investments, asset management and monitoring, business planning and restructuring.

Tengku Azharuddin holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Bayes Business School, City, University of London.

Firdaus was appointed as a Director and Board Member on 18 January 2023. Firdaus rejoined Khazanah in 2022 after stints in Tenaga Nasional Berhad’s New Energy Division and Korean conglomerate SK Group. Prior to that, he was at Macquarie Group. In Khazanah, he is currently a Director in Investments and leads the Sentinel, Tourism and Iskandar teams.

He is an experienced management, investment, M&A/corporate finance, strategy and equity research professional across both public and private equity markets and has had exposure across various sectors including renewable energy, technology, infrastructure, logistics, agrifood and aviation.

Firdaus graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with B.Sc in Actuarial Science, B.A in Finance and B.A in Economics

Dr. Imran was appointed as MIM’s Director on 1 February 2010. He leads UWI’s strategic relationships with institutional investors, government-linked agencies and financial institutions.

Dr. Imran has extensive banking experience throughout Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council states. Throughout Dr. Imran’s various roles, including Head of Strategy in The Executive Office of Dubai, he had established the operational and governance strategies for the Dubai International Financial Center.

Prior to that, he worked at McKinsey & Company as a management consultant in South East Asia in the finance, technology and telecommunications industries focusing on post-merger management and business building.

He earned his Doctorate in Corporate Finance and MPhil in Finance from the University of Cambridge (UK).

Mr. Amr was appointed as MIM’s Director on 15 December 2011. He joined UWI in 2007 and serves as Director of Technical Operations overseeing the development and operations for infrastructure assets in collaboration with governments and private sector partners.

Mr. Amr has over 15 years of experience in engineering, construction, and real estate development including: project planning, development management, design, procurement, construction management, project management, and contract administration.

Prior to joining UWI, Mr. Amr worked with both contractors and consultants to execute many real estate and infrastructure projects in the UAE, KSA and Egypt.

Mr. Amr earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Alexandria University (Egypt).
